P2i Foundation Split the Pot 50/50 Raffle benefiting OSU Cheer and Brutus Society is open to all individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older that are physically located within the Raffle Purchase Area, which is the entire State of Ohio, during the Raffle Period at the time of purchase.  In order to purchase tickets online, your mobile device’s location settings MUST be enabled.

Absolutely!  You do not have to live in the State of Ohio to participate in or win the raffle drawing.

Your current location is required to confirm eligibility. The raffle is only offered within the State of Ohio. For additional assistance with your location settings, please see the ‘Technical Help’ section below.

We accept all major credit cards.

 The winning number will be posted online at the conclusion of the raffle at www.teamosu.org (as well as OSU Band and Cheer social media outlets such as FaceBook & Twitter) for a minimum of thirty (30) days. The winner does NOT need to be present to redeem their prize. The winner will have thirty (30) calendar days to claim their prize. If no winner claims the prize, the money will be donated back to the RCF.

No, the amount shown on the website is the total amount of the jackpot. The winner will receive half of the number shown (less taxes and fees when applicable).

Raffle tickets are not tax deductible. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the Raffle Tickets does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution for personal income tax purposes.

Raffle Tickets may not be resold to any other party. Any Raffle Ticket which has been determined to be resold is void. All individuals who re-sell, purchase, or receive a Raffle Ticket in violation of the Official Raffle Rules are ineligible to enter the Raffle or to win the Prize.

No, raffle participants do not have to be present to win. However, the winning ticket MUST accompany all required documentation for someone to claim the raffle prize.

Ohio State Cheer and Brutus Alumni is responsible for reporting all raffle winnings to the IRS and the winners are responsible for any and all tax implications. 

 Raffle prizes will be provided to the winner via check within thirty (30) business days of the raffle winner presenting the winning raffle ticket and all completed required paperwork to the RCF.

No, there is no limit to the amount of raffle tickets you can purchase during any raffle period.

P2i Foundation will not personally notify any potential Raffle Winner. Each raffle participant is solely responsible for checking his/her ticket number(s) against the public notifications regarding the winning ticket numbers.

No. Each ticket belongs to only one person and only one person can claim the prize associated with a winning ticket.

If for any reason the raffle entry period commences and the event gets postponed due to weather or any other unforeseeable circumstance, the entry period will immediately conclude. If the Raffle cannot be completed on the originally scheduled end date, the selection of the winning raffle ticket will be completed the first business day that P2i Foundation’s normal business operations resume, and notice of the winning draw number will be posted on www.teamosu.org and https://cheer.alumni.osu.edu/ 

Technical Help

By selecting “Don’t Allow” you will not be able to purchase tickets. Ticket sales are geographically restricted to the State of Ohio. If you do not allow the system to verify your location, you will not be permitted to purchase tickets.

The browser should reload the page and ask you to share the location upon loading. NOTE: In some browsers, the pop-up window may say “close” rather than “OKTry reloading the page by re-entering the website address again. You should be prompted to a new screen to add in your current location. If you have specified you never want to share your location, you will need to select “share my location” in your device settings. Please see below for instructions. 

If you are physically located within the State of Ohio limits but cannot purchase raffle tickets online due to your location, you may have selected “never share my location” in your browser. Please see below for instructions to allow sharing your location so you can purchase raffle tickets online. 

For iOS devices: 

  • Go to the Settings App
  • Select Privacy
  • Select Location Services
  • Ensure Location Services are on
  • Scroll down and select “Safari Websites”
  • Ensure Allow Location Access is set to “While using the App”
  • Chrome has the same setting if using instead of Safari

For Android devices (may vary depending on version): 

  • Go to the Settings App
  • Select Location and ensure that it is turnedon
  • Return to previous screen and select Apps
  • Go to Chrome
  •  Select Permissions
  • Ensure that Location is enabled
